Basing himself on the story by Maria Ebner v. Eschenbach Zamastil composed a string quartet for children which was performed by young students of Paula Zamastil. Working on contemporary music is one of the most important areas of musical pedagogic work today. Therefore Wolfgang Zamastil composes and publishes more and more literature for young students.

In this project, especially created by K. Gourzi for the exhibition Bruce Nauman: Theaters of Experience, three young musicians will play pieces of John Cage, Luciano Berio and Steve Reich (composers who inspired Nauman during his work) while people are expieriencing the exhibition. The topic of the exhibition is using concepts of performance to make a more intense self - perception, be it the one of the artist or the one of the audience, possible.

The musical collaboration between the Irish singer and songwriter Michael O’Loughlin and Wolfgang Zamastil has given rise over the past three years to a mass of new ideas and songs impossible to summarize here. The very best of these contemporary international popsongs appeared on the album "Pressure's Off" in August 2004.

Composition and production of the soundtrack to "Art and Sustainability"
Written, directed and edited by Falko Seidel Rotterdam/Berlin 2003
"Art and Sustainability" is the already the third shortfilm - project of the director Falco Seidel, who lives and works in Berlin. The film, which is made as an interview deals with essential questions of social aspects, of art and about art and creates in a friendly athmosphare a picture of the views taken from an individual person, acting and chatting in the streets of Rotterdam.

Course for Composition at the Conservatorio Profesional De Musica de Logrono / Spanien

In collaboration with the cellist and teacher Claudia Gabrielli the idea was born to help children and young students to express their creativity in a musical way. In the five days of the course a small story, witch will be created by the students, will be used as the basic for the composition. Every student will do his part to a whole piece, with the support and the help of Zamastil. There will also be single lessons for more interested students who wrote other pieces. .

The piece is a collaboration between the choreograph Hans Kasper Aebli and the Composer Wolfgang Zamastil. Both have the wish to extend existing forms of dance and music. With his different experiences one should influence the work of the other, the result will be a mixture of both artists work. On stage there will be two dancers and three musicians. The basic concept is a quite small and flexible one, so it will be easy to perform the piece in many places without any problems building up the crew.

The poetry of Jimenez inspired Zamastil for his latest work. Not to do a common "set-into-music" but a translation and a try to express the meaning and the philosophical backround of the poetry is the basic idea of the project. The double - concept - album will be finished in autumn 2005.
